Hello from Greece! Our final leg of this incredible journey has begun and we had a very busy start. We began our day with a 7am wake up call from the hotel and the ring of the phone sounded like a fire alarm so that definitely woke us up. After the initial shock we got ready and headed downstairs for breakfast and shortly thereafter we were on our way to our first stop. We then went to the archaeological site of Ancient Olympia and were able to see some of the ancient ruins from the ancient Olympics and the temples and statues made for the Greek Gods, mainly Zeus. We spent a considerable amount of time learning about the remains of these various structures and what they meant. After the visit to the archeological site, we visited the museum of archaeology which housed most of the statues considering they needed to be preserved or restored. Throughout this museum we saw some truly incredible sculptures and other artifacts pertaining to Ancient Greek Culture. Finally, we visited the Ancient Olympic Sport museum and saw sculptures and other artifacts pertaining specifically to the Ancient Olympics. After this, we all went to a Greek Café for lunch and grabbed ice cream after. Around 4pm, we got on the road and began our journey to destination 2/3 in Greece, the city of Delphi. Midway through our ride, we stopped in a little town on the water for a brief snack break and for some time to walk around the town and explore. After our ride concluded, we went to a local restaurant for dinner and called it an early night. Another long day awaited us.
